【パラサイト隕石】

パラサイト隕石は鉄とニッケル合金とケイ酸塩鉱物からなる石鉄隕石（せきてついんせき）です。
石鉄隕石は隕石の中でも特に珍しく、地球に落下する僅かな隕石の全ての中に約2%しか見つからないと言われる大変希少な隕石です。

この隕石の大部分にはかんらん石（ペリドット）が点在し、それらの隙間を埋めるように鉄とニッケル合金が配置されています。
溶けた鉄の中にかんらん石を流し込んだようにも見えますし、元々点々と存在していたかんらん石に鉄が衝突融合したようにも見える、何とも形容しがたいとても神秘的な模様をしています。
光に透かして見ると、柔らかな光が差し込み石の周りを照らします。
万華鏡やステンドグラス、美しい絵画と評したくなるような美しさで、思わず宇宙に想いを馳せる神秘性です。
